- Secure adequate public school funding to ensure a high quality education for all Arkansas children

- Restore the Educational Excellence Trust funding to supplemental status

- Establish a Professional Standards and Practices Board

- Improve the salaries and fringe benefits for public school teachers and educational support professionals
|
- Improve professional development for teachers and educational support professionals
|
- Secure proper funding for the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System to attract and retain high quality teachers and educational support professionals
|
- Provide financial assistance to teachers and educational support professionals to meet the "highly qualified" provisions of ESEA

| Protecting Children's Health and Safety |
- Provide school building bond tax incentives and/or low interest or interest-free bonds to school districts
|
- Improve the nurse to student ratio to 1:750

| Maximizing Student Learning |
- Improve instructional technology and support
|
- Ensure that the school accountability program (ACTAAP) is functioning in a manner that is designed to enhance school effectiveness and student performance

- Ensure the proper use of standardized testing and encourage the use of a variety of student performance measurements.

- Evaluate the alternative learning environments and special education programs offered by local school to ensure that adequate resources are provided to meet the needs of students
|
- Establish an early childhood education program as part of a high quality education for all Arkansas children
|
- Require employers to provide employees with paid leave to attend parent-teacher conferences
|

| Respecting the Rights of School Employees |
- Establish a Professional Negotiations Law for teachers and educational support professionals
|
