Legislative and Political Action for Arkansas Education

The Capitol and School Bus

Legislation and regulation are key to the AEA’s mission of improving the quality of public education in Arkansas and in our ability to attract new, skilled educators to Arkansas’s workforce. We encourage members to familiarize themselves with our legislative priorities and actively advocate for public education advancement through the AEA.

You can examine current statewide bills and track their progress with the legislative bill tracker or take action on nationwide bills moving through Congress and at the state level in the Arkansas General Assembly with the AEA legislative action center.

Donations to the Arkansas Committee for Children and Public Education, AEA’s political action committee, as well as the NEA Fund for Children and Public Education help advance our cause. The AEA Guide to Lobbying is a vital tool in our education advancement efforts.

We urge our members to aid us in the push to improve both education for students and working conditions for education professionals throughout the state of Arkansas.
